The Praise Band is also a “by audition” that leads in worship by playing for all congregational singing and many choir and praise team features.  Auditions test musical abilities of the individuals.  Instrumental musicians who wish to play on a weekly basis only need to be able to play the melody of a song on sight.  Musicians should be able to play in tune and work well following a director.
